Sales Representative Construction


To professionally manage an assigned territory in order to aggressively market all products represented by the Company to achieve sales, profit, and market share objectives


  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  2. Sales/Marketing experience in the construction machinery industry with a thorough understanding and knowledge of products, applications, and markets
  3. Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  4. Good working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing programs
  5. Good mathematical skills
  6. Must reside in territory


  1. Create, develop, and close new/used sales and rental deals within assigned territory and achieve sales volume, profit, and market share objectives
  2. Cover assigned territory by achieving established call standards
  3. Improve Whayne Supply’s market coverage by prospecting for and developing new customers 
  4. Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships through professional and ethical business conduct
  5. Develop and maintain knowledge on products, applications, industry, selling skills, and product support to enhance and achieve required sales performance
  6. Communicate technical information, product problems, competitive information, product support requirements, credit information, customer concerns, etc, to the proper departments and assure appropriate action is implemented
  7. Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
