Coordinator - Inventory Control

DESCRIPTION: Provides general administration to the Inventory Control Department and other divisions/departments as needed. Supports internal and external customers in coordination with management, Caterpillar, other vendors, etc. 

                       

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Proven computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel) and ability to quickly learn new software/systems.  Experience with Microsoft AX 2012 preferred
  3. Must possess analytical, interpretive and basic mathematical skills
  4. Willingness to learn and be trained
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills with team and customers
  6. Demonstrated knowledge/ability with customer service and support
  7. Assist work team to meet the objectives of the department and The Company

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Update/maintain parts record information in Company Operating system
  2. Analyze stock order reporting, update system files and place orders
  3. Perform expediting procedures on stock back ordered items to ensure inventory levels are maintained
  4. Qualify and request return authorization of surplus or unwanted inventory per vendor guidelines
  5. Place emergency parts orders and perform expediting procedures to satisfy customer/shop needs
  6. Collaborate with Service and Parts personnel to identify/order parts
  7. Process and maintain forms, invoices, logs, records, etc timely and accurately that are applicable to the department/division; file records and reports
  8. Researches discrepancies as necessary and ensures they are correct according to standards and procedures
  9. Communicate both verbally and in writing to all levels of company management, customers, employees, and outside vendors both proactively and reactively
  10. Comply with all government regulations relevant to the position/area
  11. Recommend to manager ideas to improve the departments operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes
  12. Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude; comply with company dress code
  13. Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly
  14. Follow all work, safety rules, and procedures
  15. Perform other duties as necessary, required, or assigned
