#1 Rental Shop Technician


Properly use all test equipment to analyze, evaluate, troubleshoot and execute shop repairs on rental or allied equipment; perform rental work assignments with minimal supervision.



  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Previous mechanical experience in the given industry/division
  3. Must be able to read and comprehend repair manuals
  4. Must have shop required hand tools
  5. Ability to use micrometer and other testing tool



  1. Perform work assignments on all types of rental and allied equipment in a timely and efficient manner with a high level of quality
  2. Use and understand proper test equipment to troubleshoot for needed repairs
  3. Lift parts and equipment components that weigh no more than 50 pounds when assisting mechanics or working alone to make repairs to equipment
  4. Operate and move rental machinery being repaired in and out of shop service bays and test for performance
  5. Write accurate and legible service reports, read and comprehend blueprints, technical data and service manuals
  6. May be required to possess a Commercial Driver's License based on departmental operational needs
  7. Use and understand proper test equipment to troubleshoot for needed repairs
  8. Project a positive company image with fellow employees, customers, and management; comply with company dress code
  9. Keep work area clean and orderly; follow all work safety rules and procedures
  10. Ensure accuracy of work orders by charging parts and labor to proper work order segments
  11. Own and maintain sufficient hand tools to perform the job
  12. Required to work overtime when needed
  13. Keep up to date with developments in tooling, technologies and systems
  14. Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
