Product Support Representative

DESCRIPTION:

Promotes and sells parts and services offered, while realizing profitable sales and maintaining good customer relations.

                        

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  2. Good understanding of machine applications and systems required
  3. Excellent communication and presentations skills needed
  4. Ability to operate a P.C. (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.)
  5. Applicant must be willing to relocate into the PSSR territory

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Travel to customer locations as required, in various environmental conditions, to conduct sales calls, meetings, and perform equipment inspections
  2. Maintain a high level of product knowledge and merchandising programs offered by the company and Caterpillar
  3. Achieve parts and service sales objectives in assigned territory
  4. Assist the Parts and Service Departments in preparing estimates, settling controversies,  investigating customer product problems, and investigating past due accounts as requested
  5. Develop potential customer base in assigned territory and assist new customers in opening accounts
  6. Monitor and report all pertinent parts and service marketing information relative to competitive activity, customer information, and product performance
  7. Perform inspections as required
  8. Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
